John D'Erchia Obituary

John Rocco D’Erchia, beloved husband and father, passed away on January 19, 2024, at the age of 47. A resident of Ringwood, New Jersey, John was born and raised in Wanaque on Garbarino Avenue. A 1994 graduate of Lakeland Regional High School, John earned his Bachelor of Arts from Rider University in 1998 with a degree in Communications and Media Studies. Following college, John held several positions in the medical field, most recently as the Senior Physician Outreach Liaison for Summit Health. John had many loves – Yankees baseball, the New York Football Giants, Knicks and Rider basketball, poker, and golf – but none exceeded the love he had for his wife Jamie, and two daughters Alexandra (“Alli”) (10) and Grace (7). John dedicated his life to his daughters: getting them ready for school, attending events, and most recently embracing his role as Alli’s “Swim Dad” – spending countless nights and weekends attending practices and meets as Alli excelled. Sought-after in Ringwood youth sports, John shined in his roles as the coach of Grace’s soccer and t-ball teams. With a dry sense of humor and quick wit, John made those around him laugh, and was always there for his family and friends. Taken too soon, John’s memory will always live on in his daughters, and in the hearts of his wife, family, and friends. Friends and family are welcome to pay final respects, celebrating John’s memory and life, on Friday, January 26th between the hours of 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Il Palazzo, 600 Ringwood Avenue, Wanaque, New Jersey 07465
